Description
Calderdale College is looking to recruit two enthusiastic and committed individuals to work across the Employability and Life Skills curriculum area to support students in accessing work placement opportunities as part of their study programme. The Job Coach will build effective relationships with Employers to develop and support our portfolio of placement opportunities for learners with SEND. They will ensure all relevant paperwork and checks are completed prior to placement, carry out thorough analysis and training with students, and support them at work to carry out their roles with increasing independence.
The appropriate applicants would have experience of working with adults and young people with SEND ideally in an education or training setting. They will have experience of job coaching including task analysis, vocational profiling, and systematic instruction. Prior working knowledge of Access to Work funding would be beneficial to the role. This role requires someone who is a dynamic and innovative individual with the ability to work with a wide range of people of all ages from very different backgrounds, with very different needs.
